Event narrative

A large debris flow occurred off of the Seeley Fire burn scar. Water and debris covered State Route 31, and the road was closed at both the top and bottom for several hours.

Wider weather episode

The deep monsoonal moisture remained over Utah through the end of August, resulting in more flash flooding and severe wind gusts.
