Event narrative

Numerous trees were downed, knocking down utility lines as well. Old M-76 was closed for a period due to downed trees. Shingles were removed from several homes.

Wider weather episode

An unusual November severe weather outbreak - including an extremely rare tornado - impacted northern Michigan. Thunderstorms ignited along and ahead of a strong cold front that crossed the region.
