The ASOS at the Big Piney Airport clocked a peak wind gust of 60 mph shortly before 1900MST.

Wider weather episode

A few thunderstorms erupted over the mountains west of Big Piney during the early evening and moved southeast into the Upper Green River Basin. One storm produced strong outflow wind as it moved near Big Piney.
