Broadcast media reported that the roof of the Harris Building, housing the school's athletic and JROTC programs, collapsed.

Another in a series of shortwaves produced widespread showers and thunderstorms on the 10th, several of which became severe with mainly damaging winds reported. One severe thunderstorm occurred during the overnight hours, and several more fired during the afternoon and evening hours.
