Monsoonal moisture continued to allow thunderstorms to dump copious amounts of rain across southern Utah. During the early afternoon a couple of thunderstorms moved through Sevier county. A weather spotter in Freemont Junction received 2.02" in 65 minutes. Both the spotter and county sheriff reported some flooding in town with all washes in the area running full. The Utah Highway Patrol reported that 6-8" of water on the road temporarily closing Interstate-70 near Muddy Creek.
