A second heavy snow storm in less than a week swept across west central and northern New Mexico. Eastern slopes of the Sangre de Cristo and Sandia/Manzano Mountains were especially hard hit with snow of 8 to 20 inches. Taos ski area reported 36 inches in about 36 hours. Once again numerous power outages and minor traffic accidents were reported.
