A slow moving low pressure system over the Great Basin spread moisture over an unseasonably cold airmass which was in place over North Central Wyoming from the evening of June 2 through the morning of June 4. The result was a heavy snowfall in the Big Horn Mountains with 4 to 8 inches falling above 5000 feet.
