Spotters reported tree limbs up to 4 inches in diameter down across the northern portions of Port Lavaca.
Wider weather episode
A deep upper low was located over the Four Corners region on April 16th while a strong jet streak in the subtropical jet stream across northern Mexico moved into South Texas. Scattered thunderstorms formed near a weak boundary moving north through the Coastal Bend. A storm that formed over Bee County intensified into a heavy precipitation supercell. This storm produced three weak tornadoes as it moved across Refugio County.
