Gallup airport reported a 70 mph wind gust from dry thunderstorms.

The focus for showers and thunderstorms shifted into western New Mexico as shallow low level moisture advanced westward to the Continental Divide on the 23rd. As the afternoon progressed this activity became more a mixture of wet and dry thunderstorms. Strong downburst winds impacted the Gallup airport where a peak wind of 70 mph occurred. No damage was reported.
