A trained spotter reported that hail up to an inch in diameter fell near Charlotte.
Wider weather episode
There were several reports of large hail of around an inch to an inch and a quarter in diameter on August 14th. Isolated wind damage also occurred across portions of Kalamazoo and Jackson counties, were several trees were blown down.
