Lake effect snow continued on the 18th, with west-northwest winds veering to the north-northwest as a strong upper level disturbance passed. Locally heavy lake effect snow resulted in parts of northern lower Michigan. Eight to twelve inches of snow fell in Suttons Bay, Mancelona, Kalkaska, Gaylord, and Grayling.
