Severe thunderstorms impacted areas mainly from near Ionia through Lansing during the late afternoon hours of July 8th. There were several reports of downed trees and tree limbs and power lines with wind gusts estimated up to 65 mph. Quarter sized hail was also reported just northeast of Lansing.
