Drought — Stephens, Georgia

2017-03-01 to 2017-03-31 · Stephens, Georgia

Wider weather episode

The effects of the drought continued across the northeast Georgia mountains and foothills into early spring, although conditions did not worsen, and maybe improved slightly in some areas thanks to near-normal monthly precipitation. Levels remained well below normal on all streams while reservoirs were several feet below target elevations. All communities continued to observe at least voluntary water restrictions, while mandatory restrictions continued in a few mountain and foothills communities.
