Forsyth received around 6 inches of new snow.

Warm air aloft brought a period of freezing rain to portions of the Billings Forecast Area. This was followed by an arctic air intrusion. Once the arctic air was in place, a moist flow aloft off the Pacific Ocean produced an overrunning snow event. As a result, heavy snow occurred across a large portion of the Billings Forecast Area.
