An area of low pressure over the Southeast U.S. on the morning of the 24th intensified rapidly as it raced up the East Coast and was in the Gulf of Maine by the morning of the 25th. The storm brought heavy snow to much of the State. Snowfall amounts ranged from 1 to 4inches in Cheshire, coastal Rockingham, and northern Coos Counties to 6 to 10 inches across most of the eastern part of the State.
