High winds developed across parts of the I-25 corridor and northeast plains of Colorado. Peak wind gusts included: 79 mph in Applewood, 63 mph near Akron, 61 mph, 8 miles south of Holyoke; 60 mph at Denver International Airport, 59 mph near Bennett, with 58 mph at Limon Airport and near Sterling. Strong winds also knocked a semi-truck along I-25 near Wellington.
