Up to two inches of snow fell across Pickett County. CoCoRaHS station Byrdstown 2.8 SSW measured 1.6 inches of snow. A Facebook report indicated 1.5 inches of snow fell in Byrdstown, and the Pickett County 911 Center reported around 1 inch of snow in other areas of the county mainly on grassy and elevated surfaces.
Wider weather episode
A strong storm system brought light snow to the northern half of Middle Tennessee and much of the Upper Cumberland in the early morning hours on March 12. Several counties reported over 2 inches of wet snow on mainly elevated surfaces.
