Event narrative

Two or three trees were blocking Center Point Road.

Wider weather episode

A quasi-stationary surface boundary remained draped across the region from the previous day. An upper level short wave associated with a departing trough swung through the region yielding another round of convection to south-central Kentucky. Surface winds veered back to the south/southwest and allowed rich low-level moisture to push back into the region. Despite the cloudy conditions, heating lead to decent instability across southern Kentucky during the afternoon. Modest bulk shear was in place once again. Clusters and short line segments formed moving from west to east causing tree damage along their path.
