The zone remained in Severe(D2) drought during the entire month. The Hillsboro Cooperative Observer reported a trace of precipitation which was 0.75 inches below normal.

Wider weather episode

Another very dry month across southern New Mexico lead to some areas going from Severe(D2) drought conditions to Extreme(D3) drought. Most locations outside of the Sacramento Mountains received no precipitation during the month.
