Event narrative

The Putnam County 911 center reported a tree blown down at the intersection of Highway 44 and Wesley Chapel Road. The fallen tree pulled down power lines as well.

Wider weather episode

Despite weak upper-level ridging across the southeastern U.S., abundant moisture and strong afternoon heating resulted in widespread thunderstorms each afternoon and evening. A few severe thunderstorms were reported each day.
