Event narrative

A tree was blown down over Highway 187 about 15 miles south of Homerville. The time of damage was based on radar.

Wider weather episode

Strong to severe storms develop in the afternoon and evening as a surface trough settled across SE Georgia over a moist and unstable airmass. Damaging down bursts caused extensive wind damage across SE Georgia and then across NE Florida into the evening. Storms moved offshore of the Atlantic coast in the evening.
