The Butts County 911 center reported a tree blown down near the intersection of Highway 87 and Mt. Pleasant Church Road.

An upper-level short wave moving across the region, combined with moderate instability and ample moisture over the state resulted in widespread thunderstorms over north and central Georgia. numerous reports of damaging wind gusts were received from across central and portions of north Georgia.
