The Columbus Fire was originally part of the South Umpqua Complex, and was separated from it on 08/17/18. The fire was caused by lightning. The time of ignition was around 1000 PDT on 07/15/2018. As of the last report at 0330 PDT on 09/07/18, the fire covered 10697 acres and was 100 percent contained. 0 structures were lost, and expenditures on firefighting efforts were not available, as the accounting was combined with other fires.
