Event narrative

Multiple trees were reported down on the western side of Paoli. There were also several power outages.

Wider weather episode

Surface high pressure was centered over the Appalachian Mountains and a stacked low was over eastern Kansas. Weakly amplified mid-level flow funneled moisture up the Ohio River Valley from the Gulf of Mexico causing precipitable water values to go over 2 inches, which contributed to severe storms in southern Indiana.
