A cold front moved through the Northland and spread snow across the area starting the evening of the 30th and then overspread the area overnight. Moderate to heavy snowfall rates moves across parts of north-central and northeast Minnesota early in the morning, laying down a quick 3 to 6 inches of snow with isolated higher amounts to around 7 inches. Snowfall rates tapered off considerable in the morning with less than an inch of additional snow.
