Snowfall amounts of 6 to 8 inches were reported from Fort Smith to Pryor.

An arctic front moved through the Billings Forecast Area. At the same time, abundant moisture off the Pacific moved over this very cold airmass, resulting in what is called an overrunning event. As a result, heavy snow occurred across the entire Billings Forecast Area.
