Event narrative

The tide at Cameron reached a peak water level of 1.91 feet MHHW. This flooded some roads around Cameron including Marshal Street in front of the courthouse. The water depth in front of the courthouse was around 1 foot on the sides of the roadway.

Wider weather episode

A cold front moved into then stalled over South Louisiana during the 13th. A very unstable air mass was in place south of the boundary an a few severe storms developed. Strong south winds also drove the tides up along the coast.
