The tide gauge at Cameron rose to 2.04 MHHW at 6:54 CST. This put around 1 foot of water over Highway 82 near the courthouse.
Wider weather episode
A cold front moved into the region and stalled on the 19th. Multiple short waves moved across the region during the time causing severe weather and tornadoes. A strong area of low pressure developed on the boundary by the 21st causing coastal flooding before the front finally pushed deeper into the gulf.
