Event narrative

Up to three inches of rain fell in a short amount of time causing flash flooding. Several roads around Pilot Knob were flooded including West Maple Street and Highway 221.

Wider weather episode

An upper level disturbance moved through southern Missouri and into southern Illinois triggering showers and storms. Some of the storms produced damaging winds, large hail and flash flooding.
