County comms reported trees and power lines blown down in the Granite Falls area. Ham radio operator reported power lines down in the Northlakes area.

Wider weather episode

Scattered to numerous thunderstorms developed near the North Carolina Blue Ridge during the afternoon into early evening. Several storm clusters organized as the storms moved southeast across the foothills and western Piedmont. Several of these clusters produced small swaths of damaging wind gusts, some of which were fairly significant.
