Precipitation associated with developing low pressure along the Gulf Coast overspread northeast Georgia during the morning. Heavy snowfall totals were realized in many areas by around noon, and by the time the snow tapered off during early/mid afternoon, total accumulations generally ranged from 3 to 5 inches, with locally higher amounts of over 6 inches in the mountains.
