Snowfall amounts of 4.8 and 4.0 inches were reported in Hillsboro.

Wider weather episode

An upper low was lifting out of the Baja region and into southern Arizona. A 130-knot jet streak was located over southern New Mexico which combined with a back door cold front to produce snow amounts over 7 inches in the lowlands and Gila region.
