An estimated ten inches of snow fell over much of northern Schoolcraft County over an approximate 18-hour period.

Wider weather episode

Intense bands of snow lifting from the Central Plains into Upper Michigan produced widespread moderate to heavy snow from the evening of the 17th into the 18th with lingering moderate to heavy lake effect snow into the morning of the 19th.
