The Dawson County Emergency Manager reported 5 inches of snow at Amicalola Falls State Park and 4.2 inches of snow in Dawsonville.

A fast moving mid-level short wave swept through the region during the morning and early afternoon. With a fairly cold airmass in place over north Georgia and ample mid-level moisture, moderate to heavy snow quickly accumulated across a large portion of north Georgia.
