There were multiple reports of funnel cloud west of DuPont. The time of the event was based on radar.

Deep layer west-southwesterly flow advected warm, moist air over the region that increased PWATS to 1.9 with above normal warmth as high temperatures warmed into the upper 80s. A weak disturbance aloft moved through the Gulf states and approach SE GA during the evening which triggered a few strong to severe thunderstorms with activity spreading toward the I-10 corridor of northeast Florida. With 0-6 km bulk shear of 45-55 kt and MUCAPE of 2000-25000 J/kg, conditions were favorable for isolated strong to severe thunderstorms.
