On Friday April 17th a kayaker was rescued off the coast of Pacifica. The kayaker was rescued by the Coast Guard and was suffering from hypothermia. There was a long period west swell along the coast that day increasing the risk of sneaker waves and rip currents, a Beach Hazards Statement was in effect.
