Event narrative

The ASOS at Islip MacArthur Airport measured a 61 mph wind gust at 147 pm. At 158 pm, sustained winds of 45 mph were measured at Islip MacArthur Airport. Law enforcement reported wires down on Straight Path Road blocking Old Country Road at 1156 am. At 1209 pm, the fire department reported wires down on Mobile Street in Sayville. Around 1230 pm in the town of Brentwood, law enforcement reported a tree down blocking Eisenhower Avenue at Saint Andrews. A mesonet station near the Great South Bay measured 45 mph sustained winds at 133 pm. Around 138 pm, another mesonet station located at the Fire Island Coast Guard station measured 44 mph sustained winds. At 146 pm, a mesonet station near the town of Brookhaven measured a 60 mph wind gust. At that same time, sustained winds were 46 mph. Around 210 pm, law enforcement reported a tree with wires down on River Road in Shirley.
