Wider weather episode
Mean layer WSW steering flow was light across NE which enable sea breezes and river breezes to converge over inland areas over an unstable airmass. Cool mid level temperatures at 500 mb ranged from -10 to -12 deg C. This cool air aloft combined with high diurnal instability produced a few strong to severe storms with hail across NE FL. Strong WSW steering flow across SE GA produced a few strong wind gusts under stronger upper level dynamics.
