Trees reported down in numerous locations across the county.

Wider weather episode

Merging thunderstorms occurred over the central Tennessee Valley. These storms moved rapidly northeast producing more widespread wind damage. Farther south, strong storms developed a line of strong storms moved across northeast out of northeastern Alabama and north Georgia. The storms intensified quickly as they moved into the southern Tennessee Valley and southeast Tennessee and southwest North Carolina.
