Quarter hail reported.
Wider weather episode
Severe thunderstorms began developing over central Kansas very early on 5/4. Initial supercells produced very large hail, up to baseball size. The threat transitioned to more of a strong wind concern later in the morning. Winds up to 80 mph were reported with one storm and damage occurred in several different counties.
