Event narrative
Heavy snow reported by several SNOTEL stations, including Kimberly Mine with 2.5 inches of snow water equivalent, or about 25 inches of snow, Brian Head with 2.2 inches of snow water equivalent or about 22 inches of snow, and Castle Valley with 1.4 inches of snow water equivalent, or about 14 inches of snow. The COOP observer at Beaver Canyon Power House also reported 10.5 inches of snow. In addition, strong winds were observed with a peak gust to 60 mph on SR-12 at Boulder Summit.
