As a Mesoscale Convective Complex (MCC) moved offshore Deep South Texas and into the lower Texas coastal waters on the morning of May 25th, a strong surge of marine thunderstorm winds moved off the coast of Cameron County. Buoy RLIT2 recorded a gust of 37 knots at 7:48 AM CDT.
