Along and in front of a late season cold front, thunderstorms formed and moved into the lower Texas coastal waters on May 26th. Some of these thunderstorms created strong marine thunderstorm winds, and a gust of 34 knots was recorded at buoy RLIT2 at 10:48 CDT.
