Trees and wires were downed in Schenectady. There was also minor street flooding.
Wider weather episode
Thunderstorms developed over portions of eastern New York during the afternoon of the 29th. A couple of these storms produced hail up to ping pong ball size. They later spawned two EF1 tornadoes in the towns of Stillwater and Schaghticoke, with damage to a couple of residences and a high school. An EFO tornado briefly touched down in southwestern Warren County. Sporadic wind damage was noted elsewhere.
