Event narrative

The public reported a few trees blown down north and west of Cumming. A tree blown down on Magnolia Creek Drive crushed a golf cart and a couple of falling trees along Bayberry Drive caused minor damage to a roof.

Wider weather episode

A quick-moving short wave swept through the Tennessee Valley producing strong to severe thunderstorms across north Georgia in the early afternoon. The strong to severe storms progressed south through the afternoon into the early evening across central Georgia.
