Exceptional(D4) drought continued across the zone for the entire month. The Buckhorn Cooperative Observer reported 0.33 inches of precipitation which was 0.98 inches below normal.

Wider weather episode

Very dry conditions continued through October which kept most areas in Severe(D2) to Exceptional(D4) drought.
