Event narrative
Hurricane Delta produced sustained tropical storm force winds across the marine areas including the coastal waters. Gusts to near hurricane force occurred across NE zones east of High Island. Tropical storm force sustained winds were observed at Buoy 42019. The highest observed winds at Buoy 42019 were max sustained winds 36 knots and maximum wind gusts 52 knots. Tropical Storm force winds were also observed in the nearshore waters at the Brazos buoy, KBQX.

Hurricane Delta made landfall along the southwest Louisiana coast. The hurricane brought high surf, elevated tides and some sustained winds and wind gusts to tropical storm and hurricane force over Galveston Bay, along the SE Texas coast, and the adjacent coastal waters.
