An extreme windy set of days were felt across southeastern Wyoming in the middle of January as a sharp frontal boundary and pressure gradient produced high winds well in excess of 58 mph with several locations measuring gusts into the 80s and 90 mph ranges. Several reports of blown over semi trailers on Interstate 80 and 25 resulted in the roadway being closed for a period of time along with area restrictions for light, high profile vehicles.
