Up to one inch of snow fell across Smith County. CoCoRaHS station Elmwood 4.5 NNE measured 1 inch of snow, and CoCoRaHS station Carthage 8.7 NNE measured 0.8 inches of snow.

Wider weather episode

Light snow fell across eastern Middle Tennessee much of the day on Christmas Eve into the early morning hours on Christmas Day. Snowfall totals ranged a dusting along the I-65 corridor up to two inches on the northern Cumberland Plateau.
