Low pressure tracked through the Ohio Valley and toward the Great Lakes. Warmer air aloft overran colder air in place associated with high pressure over New England, resulting in some freezing rain. Ice accumulations ranged from a trace to around a tenth of an inch, over the higher elevations in central Maryland, and around a quarter inch in the Allegheny Highlands.
